Challenges

Orange Business relied on Oracle eBusiness Suite 11i and the Tungsten Markview Supplier Invoice Management system for years. These systems were key to their ERP operations. However, Markview became outdated – it couldn’t be upgraded and only ran on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure using Solaris OS. 

As legacy hardware became a major roadblock to business processes, replacing it with modern, and more efficient solutions became urgent.

The recommendation was clear and strategic: implement – the leading SPARC hardware emulator running on Linux.  The integration of Charon-SSP into their existing infrastructure was smooth. The best part? No modifications were required. With 16 emulated CPUs, Charon-SSP replicated the environment of their existing SPARC hardware and ensured compatibility with Oracle eBusiness Suite 11i and Markview. All functionalities were preserved exactly as they were on the original hardware.  In addition, the installation process was really quick. In just a few days, Orange Business was up and running in an optimized and scalable environment. The Stromasys team and OCI handled it remotely, ensuring a seamless transition without disrupting daily operations.
